With over thirty
years of experience, Pam Hardin
is
an accomplished and diversified
artist who works
in
a
variety of mediums that include acrylic color,
oil paint,
watercolor, and pencil.
The variety
of her interests is reflected in the many
different topics
she chooses as subject
matter that include: portraits (people
and animals), fantasy (mermaids and fairies), wildlife, landscapes,
and still life. As an example, in the
Butterfly House,
she portrays images of several different
fairies in the lives
they lead that
are the basis for a series of upcoming children’s books.
In addition, a book which will
capture the imagination of
both children and adults, pertaining to mermaids and the
lives they
lead will soon be forthcoming. These
images can now be viewed and ordered on the People
and Places page (soon
to be moved to their own page).
2008 also presents new pieces
found in Butterfly House and Wildlife
& Outdoors.
When Pam begins
thinking about doing a piece of artwork,
she tries to capture
the essence of what makes a particular
subject
interesting to those who see it. Blending imagination, sometimes
fantasy,
color, composition, shapes, and contrast
into a given piece are
those
elements that have resulted in
the variety of artwork that you
will find in this virtual gallery.
